DPF-1 Electrolytic Polishing & Corrosion Apparatus is a set of metallographic sample preparation equipment for polishing and corrosion. It is suitable for factories, universities, research institutions and other laboratories.
Features:
The apparatus produces metallographic samples based on electrochemical principle. Electrolytic polishing & corrosion refrains the metallographic samples from distortion layers which are caused by mechanical polishing, and guarantees that the structures of the samples are authentic and reliable, thus is considered as the best way to produce samples of nonferrous metals such as titanium, aluminum, copper, and high-temperature alloys. The apparatus can be operated under conditions of a high voltage and large current, so that it can produce samples of relatively large size and is especially suitable for welding specimen.
The apparatus is characterized by continuous, stable and adjustable current & voltage output when polishing and corroding. Also, its real-time display of voltage, current, polishing (etching) time and electrolyte temperature makes the operation very convenient. These features are extremely beneficial to metallographic structures and thermal processing of the assessment material. Furthermore, the working distance and polishing (corrosion) area can be flexibly adjusted according to actual situation so the apparatus can be used for metallographic sample production of different materials, shapes and sizes.
The apparatus employs a special way to circulate and cool the electrolyte. It is high in polishing efficiency, and better than the other mixing methods.
The apparatus is equipped with both traditional voltage transformer and power switch, which ensures not only a stable and continuously adjustable operating voltage (current) output, but also the operator’s security by completely isolating the input of polishing & corrosion power supply and the input of high-voltage power supply. The out covering of stainless steel and the liquid storage tanks of special materials are acid-resistant, and ensure the apparatus’ long-term durability.
